REGIONAL MATERIALS – MR Credit 5.1, 5.2
(Manufactured & Extracted Regionally)
More than 85% by total weight of the LEED block designs have been extracted and manufactured within a 500 mile radius from all of our plants. MR Credit 5.1, 5.2 LEED NC and MR Credit 5.2 for LEED CI. This is dependent upon the plant location where the product is produced.
CONSTRUCTION WASTE – MR Credit 2.1, 2.2
For renovation of existing buildings, demolished block can be recycled. If a building is going to be deconstructed, the concrete block in the building could be reused in base aggregate and possibly as concrete aggregates. This also can assist in achieving points as the dollar value of reused materials is totaled.

Recycled content varies by color for some products due to the recycled content of the material components utilized.
